The Benjamin House location provides easy access to Elizabeth City while retaining privacy and nature access for its residents. Located, just off Main St. Extended, near a municipal pool, it is on a newly renovated and surfaced feeder road. The land is wooded with second growth timber providing plenty of opportunities for walks and resting places. The timber growth also provides a sound barrier from the nearby Hughes Blvd., (an in-town extension of Hwy 17). Access to town is by vehicle. Major shopping centers and Southgate Mall are within a 5-minute drive. All Elizabeth City activities can be reached within 10 minutes including the hospital, college and university campuses, Albemarle Mental Health facilities, and downtown restaurants and movies. This central location assures residents of easy inclusion into community life while retaining a natural wooded setting.

The Residence boasts 12 suites divided along two small corridors to retain an intimate and separate feel. All rooms have windows with a view of the surrounding countryside. The communal area includes living and dining rooms, kitchen and rest rooms. An attractive foyer allows visitors to enter into the offices wing without interrupting resident’s privacy. A chapel located off the foyer provides a quiet place for spiritual contemplation.
